It's been almost two months since we closed our showroom in Santa Rosa and both Walter and I have been keeping really busy working with our clients. Thanks to everyone who have called us in the last few weeks, we really appreciate your on-going client relationship with us! We are enjoying the luxury of spending more time - better quality time- with everyone now that we don't have to hurry back to the shop.
Provenance Woven Wood Shades:

Not all woven wood shades are created equal. Hunter Douglas' Provenance Woven Wood Shades have many advantages over other manufacturer's woven woods. Provenance shades will lay flat in the window while some competitor's products will twist. The techniques they use to weave their fabrics insures the fabric will lay flat and not twist in the window. Differences in the Provenance shades include use of 100% Polyester five-ply yarn, micro reeds that are inserted into the grass fabrics every 1" to 1 1/2", the front and back face of bamboo slats are alternated, bamboo is machine pressed to break down fibers, hardware and components are color coordinated and all shades include a standard lined valance. On top of all these benefits there are lining options, decorative valance style choices and a large variety of fabric choices - all with recently lowered pricing.

Energy Savings - Duette Architella:
Duette Architella has been certified as a Green product because of its energy saving efficiency. This shade takes energy conservation to a whole new level. The patented honeycomb -within- a- honeycomb design forms three air pockets to dramatically reduce heat flow at the window. According to a Hunter Douglas publication - "If installed in every window of every American home, these shades have the potential to cut our annual energy consumption by 2-1/2%. That may not sound like much, but it's the equivalent of a 33% increase in fuel mileage for all passenger cars on U.S. roads - which would save about 450 million barrels of oil annually and reduce CO2 emissions by almost 200 million tons!" With global warming becoming more of a problem we can make a difference by buying and installing these energy saving shades.
On top of all the energy saving benefits you could be eligible to receive a tax credit of 30% of the cost, up to a $1,500 federal tax credit if you have purchased Hunter Douglas' Duette Architella shades, please check with your tax advisor. This tax credit was included in The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, a stimulus bill that includes federal tax credits on selected energy efficient products purchased during 2010.
